This natural remedy works wonders for ear infections, as always though please see your doctor if you or your child is in severe discomfort or has a fever!
Garlic Poultice: 1.Boil 3-4 gloves of garlic in some water for a few minutes. 2.Mash them 3.and add a bit of salt. 4.Wrap this poultice in a flannel cloth 5.and place on the aching ear 6.and fasten it with a woolen scarf or hat. Leave this poultice on the painful ear until it is cooled down (about 30-40 minutes). Repeat as necessary

This works well for me, I suffer with regular ear problems and do something similiar although I tend to use garlic oil rather than a poultice, next time it strikes me down I'll try this one and see how it goes! Luckily my darling hubby is not horrified by the smell of garlic
